Meet Our Team

Robert Steinberg

Partner

Robert Steinberg is co-founder and managing partner of First Development Corporation. He specializes in infill retail development and redevelopment of underutilized properties in the New York Metropolitan region. Through strong relationships with national retail tenants, he provides the anchor tenant draw needed to make each project successful.

David Einbinder

Partner

David Einbinder, co-founder of First Development Corporation, specializes in net lease retail brokerage and development. He was instrumental in the roll-out of Blockbuster Video, Boston Market and Walgreens in the New York Metro market. David is the co-founder of Long Island Real Estate Group (LIREG), a charitable organization of real estate executives.

Alison Brennan

Chief Executive Officer at First Development Corporation

Alison Brennan, Chief Executive Officer of Einbinder Development is the third generation to join the real estate business founded in 1965 by Joseph Einbinder. Since joining Einbinder Development, she has been focusing her work on leasing, management, financing, and real estate development in affiliation with First Development Corporation of Hauppauge NY. Together, the companies own and manage over forty properties consisting of retail, office, flex space, and apartments. The properties span across Long Island, Queens, Philadelphia, and Massachusetts. Her expertise also encompasses tenant relations, project management, construction, property maintenance and negotiating leases with major national and regional tenants.

David Gelfond

Senior Vice President

David Gelfond has been with First Development Corporation since 1991. He joined the company after successfully building and selling a chain of dry-cleaning stores to Colgate Palmolive. David’s main area of expertise is retail leasing, having represented tenants and landlords in hundreds of transactions in the NY—Metro and Philadelphia / South Jersey markets. He completed the rollout of Blockbuster Video and Commerce Bank (sold to TD Bank) with over 100 signed leases, as well as Charter Schools, Medical Facilities, and Self-Storage developments. His exceptional skills in marketing properties and expanding retail chains have made him one of the most diverse retail brokers in the New York Metro area.

David is currently working on numerous Supermarket transactions in the tri-state area, QSR and fast-food restaurants in the NY boroughs and Long Island, and mixed-use development projects in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and N. Carolina.

David serves on the Inaugural Advisory Board for Emory University’s Quantitative Theory and Methods department and is a member of the Long Island Real Estate Group.

Stu Kramer

Senior Vice President

Stu Kramer is the exclusive broker for Ace Hardware and Cards For Less in the Tri-State area. He brings over 20 years of wholesale and retail experience to First Development Corporation. His strong relationships with developers and retailers are supported by a successful track record for his clients. Most notably, Stu is known for taking Costello’s Ace Hardware from a four-store small local chain to a regional powerhouse with thirty-one stores in three states.

Bruce Pollack

Senior Vice President

Bruce Pollack, with 18 years of commercial leasing and property management experience as the Director of Leasing for the LeFrak Organization (a major national NY real estate organization) and at First Development Corporation (FDC) since 2005, has been involved in both landlord and tenant representation. He has negotiated leases for major national retail, local, neighborhood tenants, as well as government & not-for profit agencies. Additionally, Bruce has facilitated the leasing for both existing properties and ground-up developments for retail, medical, supermarkets, restaurants, charter schools, offices & Universal Pre-K and a host of other uses. Bruce exclusively represents Burger Brothers Group in their expansion of Qdoba Mexican Eats, The Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille and Burger King on Long Island. On a new development and representing the landlord’s property at 45-64 Francis Lewis Blvd., Bayside, Bruce secured Mount Sinai Medical Center for their ambulatory surgical center, DaVita Dialysis, Dunkin Donuts, Queens Pharmacy, and NewBank. Adjacent to this property, Bruce secured and negotiated the H Mart Supermarket lease that replaced the former Waldbaum’s Supermarket.

Additionally, he represented Premier Care Urgi Center, prior to their merger with CityMD, in securing multiple locations throughout Long Island.

Bruce is committed to both the landlords and tenants he represents and his creativity and expertise in structuring leases and/or sales has been and is always in their best interests.
